I could have sworn I'd already posted this photo but I guess not. This is the current centerpiece of our kitchen table. It's a candle holder shaped like a hut and when I blew out the candle from the chimney-like opening on the top, it looks like a real chimney of a real hut and I thought that was cool. The original was really blown-out because I had to use a flash since the smoke was moving so fast. I fixed it up in photoshop and I think it looks pretty good. This is one of 12 pictures I entered into a portfolio contest at the Stamford Arts Association.

The Flags

There's a bridge over a stretch of highway near my house that has metal barriers on the sides so cars don't fly off the bridge and on to the highway (seems like a good idea). After September 11th, someone hung about 15 american flags on the metal fence and it always looks so beautiful when I drive by. I tried to get some shots with the sun behind them but it was cold and I was standing in the middle of a bridge over a highway... so I tried to move fast. Anyway, I'll try to continue taking pictures of these flags and post them more so you can get a real idea of what they look like.

Sorry I haven't updated forever but school has been crazy... The last two weeks of the trimester were ridiculously stressful but now it's over and we have a 4 day weekend. Yay!
This was taken in the fall while I was waiting outside for the bus... I ran inside and got my camera and I'm glad that I did

I did not take this pictures, my parents did. I have no idea where they were or how they got so near Ray Charles but they somehow did. Please enlarge them; they're really great pictures! #2 is my favorite one of him but I also love the chocolate piano and the huge shadow.

It's not snowing at the moment but the wind is carrying the snow around like crazy. It's 17 degrees now but at one point this morning it was -10 windchill. Poor doggies are too cold to go outside.
This photo was taken yesterday when it was just beginning to snow.

I finally took new pictures! I actually took a lot in the past few days but these ones are particularly snow-themed.
We're supposed to get 24 inches by the end of the weekend!
My poor dachshunds are so short and cold... their tummies always scrape the snow, even when we shovel for them.
On CBS 2 they asked people to email picutres they had taken of the snow to put on the newscast and I emailed mine in. If you're in the New York metro area, look for picture #1 on channel 2!
